All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Maintain secure user sessions
  • Remember user preferences
  • Improve website functionality
  • Analyze website traffic
  • Measure platform performance
  • Enhance user experience

You may disable cookies through your browser settings. Some features of the platform may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

We use two categories of cookies and similar browser storage:

  • Essential app cookies — always active. Required to sign you in, keep your session secure, and remember your preferences. The Service cannot function without them, so they cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics cookies (Meta Pixel) — active unless you opt out. On our public marketing pages we use an optional analytics cookie (the Meta Pixel) that helps us understand how visitors find FileOnion. It runs only on public marketing pages for signed-out visitors — never inside the application, and never on your documents or account activity. We show a notice on your first visit, and you can opt out there or at any later time. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we honor it as an opt-out and the pixel stays off. When active, the pixel reports anonymous page views, a signup event, and — after a purchase — the order amount and currency only.

You can change your analytics-cookie choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of our marketing pages, or the button below. Essential app cookies remain active because the Service cannot work without them.

6. Data Security & Handling

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information and uploaded documents from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Access to customer data is limited to authorized personnel and trusted service providers who require access to perform legitimate business functions.

Uploaded documents are protected using industry-standard security practices and encrypted storage where applicable.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. User Rights

Depending on applicable laws, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal information
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Request export of your data
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Withdraw consent where applicable

To exercise these rights, please contact us at info@fileonion.com. Note that documents your organization or its clients uploaded may be controlled by that organization, and we may need to direct your request to its administrator.

8. Legal Disclosure

We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, subpoena, legal process, governmental request, or when necessary to protect our rights, customers, users, employees, or the security of the FileOnion platform.

9. Third-Party Services

FileOnion may integrate with third-party services such as cloud storage providers, authentication providers, automation platforms, payment processors, analytics services, or other business applications.

These third-party services maintain their own privacy policies, and we encourage users to review them before use.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.

Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated Effective Date.

Your continued use of FileOnion after any changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
